IMO
I think they should be aware of the times when it might not be appropriate to run their ads (assuming they have control over when their ads can be aired) and temporarily stop them for alarming events. Nowadays political ads are more often than not, used for slander and to air that during a time when people are devastated from an event that just happened might seem very insensitive to those who find it offensive.
