Hi everyone!

Welcome to the new Listening Club. Time to plug in and embark on another sonic journey!

This time I decided to do things a little differently. Since the dice chose @sereinik for the last installment and everyone who posted there has already selected an album for a previous listening club, I decided to let @sereinik choose!

He picked Susanne Sundfør – Ten Love Songs, #8 on Genius' top 20 albums of 2015. If you don't have access to a streaming service, you can listen here.

REMINDER: Make sure to post your thoughts if you want a chance to pick next week's album! If this is your first Listening Club, let me know and I'll add you to future tag walls.

Here's what @sereinik had to say about the album:

Ten Love Songs is Susanne Sundfør's sixth album and third Norwegian number-one record; it's arguably one of the highlights of 2015 in music. Equipped with lyricism that literally spans galaxies, the record was originally intended to be an album about violence but ended up a collection of narratives about love and connection. On top of inventive production and insane amounts of vulnerability, Ten Love Songs runs successful also because of Sundfør's titanic vocal prowess. In fact, after listening to Ten Love Songs for the first time per Mitch Grassi's suggestion, I became quickly convinced that Sundfør has one of the best voices in the industry. A true electro-pop/synth-pop masterpiece, the record is legitimately magnetic.
