Anyone who's paid attention to Drake's output—particularly in the past year or two—can see that The Boy has a serious jones for Jamaican music.

Drizzy's "Work" collaboration with Rihanna is heavily dancehall influenced and his bromance with Popcaan forever lives on wax via IYRTITL. And while Drake's alignment with this sound is propelling a larger wave of artists bringing dancehall back to the mainstream, the question remains: Will the genre as a whole benefit? Is a mainstream resurgence imminent?
