Hey folks!

You don't have to be a big history buff or a music savant to enjoy this, but I really wanna hear your suggestions!

February is Black History Month, and we think it's a good opportunity to celebrate and surface the voices of black artists who have explored black history in their music. What are some good annotations that touch on that? Or some lines that reflect on the history of black community? Or a song that pays tribute to important figures, places, and events?

Let's find these pages, lines, and annotations so we can make them shine on Genius! We also wanna promote them on social media starting this week and continuing through the rest of the month.
