If you're unfamiliar with KING, do yourself a favor and cue up their amazing debut album We Are King. I've been hooked on the three ladies since back when I worked at VIBE in 2011—Erykah Badu called my cellular device to say, verbatim, "KING is the future." (This is a true story.)

She was right — KING has since toured with Prince and been cosigned by Questlove, Phonte, Bilal, and Robert Glasper. And their new project is one of the best of the year (so far).
