Rolling Stone Reviews Usher's 'Hard II Love'....

They gave it a 4/5 BTW.

A couple of things:
1.) They described it has him stretching "boundaries of R&B on dark 8th LP."

Usher is simply riding the "Trap&B" wave. He's doing the whole rap/sing thing on here. That's not to say I didn't enjoy some of the songs, but nothing new or "dark" really.

This next point is crucial

2.) It's extremely evident that Usher is trying to stay as young as possible musically, but that is exactly what's stopping him from creating another GREAT (maybe potential classic) album. I don't care if the single(s) bang or not, USHER does not have to forcefully adapt his sound to be current. I get it though.

I'm not one of the delusionals expecting another Confessions or 8701; that would be foolish. I just expect greatness from a great.
