Rappers on Pop Tracks

It's your friendly neighborhood spider man… I mean gangster rapper… I mean mediator, back with another question. This one involves the fusion of rappers and pop artists on songs. How do you feel about it? To be more specific, how do you feel about rappers that get on pop artists records or vice versa? Sometimes they (the rapper) get called a "sellout" or "fake" and so on and so forth. Some examples below:

Katy Version 2

JB Version 2

Personally I like my pop tracks (on the rare occasion I do listen to them) without a rapper on them usually, it's like two different moods being thrown in one song, I just can't think of many songs that it seemed to really fit. The two links are to the song E.T by Katy Perry, the first one is the version with Kanye West, the second link is the version without him. I like the second one a whole lot more. The bottom pair are "As Long as you Love Me" by Justin Bieber. The top one has Big Sean's verse removed, while the second is the regular version. Once again, I like the version without Big Sean a lot better. (in that situation I'm just really not into Big Sean anyways but still it's the idea)

Do you think having a rapper on it makes the song "better"? I'm not talking about just having a big name rapper to boost sales or anything, I mean just on being an enjoyable song. Does having a rapper on it make you want to listen to the song that you wouldn't normally listen to because you don't like the pop genre? On the other hand, are you one of those people in YouTube comments that says "I hate that they added a rapper, can someone remove them please?" and comments like that you might see on these songs.

Tagging some people:(If you're interested in being added, want to be removed, or I forgot to tag you then let me know.)
