Frank Ocean has gone independent. Early on August 19, Ocean released his new visual album Endless. On August 20, he released his new album Blonde. The Endless visual album "fulfills Frank's obligations to Def Jam and Universal," a source close to the situation told Pitchfork. Blonde was self-released, the source said. While the credits at the end of Endless name Def Jam, the metadata on Blonde simply credits "Boys Don't Cry," which is also the title of Ocean's new magazine.
