Summer is here!! You know what that means? Interns!

The only box office blockbuster you need to see this summer is streaming live and direct on Genius.com. Starting June 20th and running all the way until the end of July, @darkdoomhoney, @Empath, @YungMikado, @ClarkBurnett, and @jeffreylsoffer will play starring roles as they transcribe, annotate, create fact-tracks, socialize, and film amazing content for the world to consume.

Paola Perez

Paola Perez (@darkdoomhoney) is studying journalism at the University of Central Florida. As most of you know, she's one of our most dedicated rock/pop contributors who has mastered the art of both annotation and transcription! You can find her fingerprints all over the likes of Halsey, Melanie-Martinez, and The 1975. She'll be working with @streetlights and myself on all things transcription and knowledge, including updating release calendars, growing the transcriber community, and fact-tracks.

Colby Handy

He needs no introduction, but for those who have yet to cross paths with Colby Handy (@Empath), you will soon! Colby majored in english/creative writing at college and one day hopes to publish novels. You can find him at the top of the Death Grips leaderboard, coaching new users, and dropping insightful posts in the forums. He's also part of the team who brought you the LEMONADE script! Colby will be working with myself on building the community engine, so look out for new iniatives and dope tates from one of the Genius community's favorite contributors.

Alexander Goncalves

Alexander Goncalves (@YungMikado) is studying Philosophy at Penn State. Many of you in the editorial community will remember his iconic editor introduction thread while others may have come across his super in-depth annotations on Busdriver songs. He'll be joining @KhalilaDouze and myself to craft fun, engaging socials posts, as well as dropping knowledge on fact-tracks. Look out for some fire tweets in your TL!

Clark Burnett & Jeffrey Soffer

Clark Burnett (@ClarkBurnett) & Jeffrey Soffer (@jeffreylsoffer) will be joining @oppi, @billydisney, and @woahitsregina in video. That's right, double trouble in the video department! Clark Burnett is a sophomore at Yale who began his Genius career in 2012 after leaving a suggestion on Childish Gambino's "Bonfire", while Jeffrey Soffer (@jeffreylsoffer) is studying film & TV production at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Clark and Jeffrey will be tasked with filming, producing, and editing video content for the editorial engine. That mea ns more viral videos, more deconstructed videos, and more verified interviews, so stay tuned!

While you may be familiar with some of the interns, I encourage you to reach out to everyone and say hi ;) You'll be seeing a lot of @darkdoomhoney, @Empath, @YungMikado, @ClarkBurnett, and @jeffreylsoffer in the weeks to come!
