Seriously though I can't even explain how many times mods and meds have asked for this. We have a problem and tech doesn't give a shit.

Wait? Do you have authority over the genius developers? You can't tell them to work on something?

Can you provide a little more detail?

What does a 5 minute ban do? What would we use it for? If people continue to act up after month or week bans, why would we do 5 minute bans? We always warn people before banning them for the first time, and then only ban for 24 hours… how would this change the fact that some trolls are going to troll? What you are suggesting as a perma would be most users who get month or week bans.

This is more of a slap-on-the-wrist type of punishment. No this isn't a solution to trolls, but I see it as more of a WARNING, to newer/agitated users who are getting a little angry or out of hand in a thread. Yeah you can warn a user, which still could be a method, but if they are continually posting out of control things and won't stop to check their messages and/or ignores comment, you can stop them for a minute and give a more effective way of treating them.

The point of that part is, is that no one uses those with the except of a few users. I am saying RG should be divided up, or at least spread the focus across those specific forums. Having one general forum with a bunch of unused ones is a little silly in my opinion.

Why? legitimately curious

1. About the animated avis, literally forgot why I put it.
2. I think that squares should be at least enlarged for aesthetic appeal, because avis are a good sign of identification and I like how other forums display it.
3. We have a BIG problem with trolls making 50 threads per minute. There was literally a couple minutes where a user was spelling out the ABCs one thread at a time. People only tend to make a lot of shit threads when they know they don't have a limit, I think people would put more thought leading to a bigger discussion if the limit was put at 5 or 7 per say. Because anyone could make the one sentence VS thread, but I think people would think twice about doing a casual nonsense thread if there was a limit installed.

Working on it without being called a member of the third reich. People get mad when they get boxed but get angry when it doesn't happen to others. It's really pretty funny.

I am talking about the big, black people rule white people mentality on the forums.

THIS IS THE ISSUE.

People could promise ALL DAY about how they are working on changes, but this is outright dysfunction. I literally do not see any obligation that genius developers have towards the sight. I am 100% sure they are aware that they play a HUGE role in genius, but THEY ARENT DOING SHIT. I would think that a Mod would have at least a slight hold over the actions of the developers but they clearly have a slight disinterest in the sight. I don't want to say that you are a weak leader (mostly because i don't know you very well or what goes on behind the scene), but I think you guys are having a big priority and communication issue.

IF YOU WANT RG TO PROGRESS AS MUCH AS A COMMUNITY AS KTT IS RIGHT NOW, YOU NEED TO NOT PUT IT OFF FOR TOMORROW, REAL CHANGES BEGIN NOW. tbh, I don't want to hear, its more complicated than you think or easier said than done, because I'm sure that's not how KTT got to WHERE IT IS NOW.
