Debate of the Day [#173]: Should there be a “No-Fly” list?

[10/5/16]

https://www.aclu.org/know-your-rights/what-do-if-you-think-youre-no-fly-list

The No Fly List is a watch list of people the government has designated as known or suspected terrorists and prohibited from flying to and from the United States and over U.S. airspace. It is a subset of a larger watch list, called the Terrorist Screening Database, which is operated by the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center.

This article claims that having a No-Fly list violates the U.S. Constitution's due process guarantee.

On the other hand, this article claims that having said watch lists could potentially prevent the next 9/11

Is it wrong for suspected potential terrorists to be placed on a list that prohibits them from having certain privileges if they have yet to commit any serious crimes, or is it better to be safe than sorry?
