Hey everyone! I'm so sorry I missed last week — I had some personal stuff going on and I wanted to sort it out, plus I was working on the article I wrote for the site, which was my main priority at the time. As a result, I've likely missed a few things, so feel free to point out anything notable down below.
New Releases
Cane Hill – "MGGDA" (July 4th)
Fire From the Gods – "Excuse Me" (July 6th)
Avant Garde – "I'm 100% Sure We Are Not Completely Sure" (July 7th)
Emarosa – 131 (July 8th)
Vanna – All Hell (July 8th)
The Devil Wears Prada – "Daughter"
Good Charlotte – Youth Authority (July 15th)
Video Killed The Radio Star (But Not ATL)
- After leaving fans hanging for five years, All Time Low have announced a sequel to Straight To DVD, which was a combination live CD and DVD.
Reunion/Revival
- Former members of A Skylit Drive teamed up as Avant Garde to release the above-mentioned "I'm 100% Sure We Are Not Completely Sure."
Other News
- Jack White has been inducted into the Nashville Council on Gender Equality.
- The Alternative Press Music Awards will be taking place tonight, July 18th! Check here to see how you can watch the show, which will be streaming on both Amazon and Twitch.
Rock Genius
- Our excellent @transcribers did a great job working together to put up the new Good Charlotte album! I had lots of fun scribing "Keep Swingin'," which features Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens.
- @glossybrown opens up a discussion about contemporary punk here.
Special thanks to @yungdirty for helping out with the New Releases section and for reporting the Straight To DVD sequel!
Music Choice just put Simple Plan on the pop hits channel as I'm writing this. This is not okay. Anyway, we've come to the conclusion of this week's roundup. Feel free to comment anything I've missed. See you next week!
